A visitation will be held 10:00 – 10:30 Saturday, January 9, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 and burial will follow at a later date at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Moberly, Missouri.
Leo was born, June 18, 1930 in Frankfort, Kansas the son of Lafayette Myers and Georgia Mae (Osborne) Myers. Leo always had a talent for building things. He once built a go cart with a washing machine motor and attached an ice cream crank to the pulley on a tractor. He even drafted a nephew to help build a new outhouse one summer. He kept his nieces and nephews entertained around the farm when they were all younger. He was a man of strong faith and enjoyed his Northwood Baptist family. He ministered to & prayed for all of the residents & staff at Parkside Manor and Hospice Compassus. He was employed as teamster contractor.
Leo is survived by three sisters, Thelma Deahl, Joan Raye, and Lois Chism; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Arthur, Robert, Lewis “Duke”, Dale, and John; one sister, Helen; and his daughter, Lois Mae Rockenfield.
