Karyn Kay Hayes

Visitation and services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018. 10am visitation, 11am services at Riverside Church, Boonville Missouri.

Karyn was born on August 17, 1954 in Lynwood, CA the daughter of Harry Korbett and Christine (Smith) Korbett. She married the love of her life Jim Hayes who survives at the home on October 11, 1972 in Downey, CA. Moved from Huntington Beach, CA to Pilot Grove, MO in July of 1983 to raise hogs on a farrow to finish hog farm.

She worked at Paris Road Family Pawn and loved meeting all the new people. She enjoyed shooting with family, Sunday night family dinners, her yearly float trip with the “Out Door Girls”. Karyn loved being a homemaker and was the best cook around, she could cook anything. She loved to spend time watching her grandson Jerrod playing baseball and granddaughter Amee rodeo.

She is survived by: her mother Christine Smith of Murrieta, CA; her husband of 45 years Jim Hayes of Boonville, MO; Father-in-law James Hayes; 1 Daughter Tracy Johnmeyer and Husband Justin of Fayette, MO; 1 granddaughter Amee Riley of Boonville, MO; 1 Grandson Jerrod Johnmeyer and Wife Mackenzie of Glendale, AZ; 1 Brother Mike Korbett of Faribault, MN; 1 Sister-in-law Vickie Korbett of Wildomar, CA, 1 Jack Russell Chewy.

She was preceded in death by; Her father Harry Korbett; 1 son, James Hayes IV (Jimmy); 1 brother, Jeff Korbett; 1 sister-in-law, Audrey Korbett, 1 Uncle, George Hayes; and her mother-in-law Bettie Hayes Martin.

Karyn was very loved and will be dearly missed by many.
