Services will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Visitation at 11 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born on November 8, 1933, in St. Louis, the daughter of Doris and Scotty Funkhouser. Angel’s education was in St. Louis at Beaumont High School and her career included Crown Zellerbach and Columbia Public Schools.
In 1971 she was united in marriage to Frank D. Russell who survives her passing. Together they raised five children: Jim (Dianna) Russell; Rick (Ann) Mason; Steve (Connie) Mason; Kathy Mason; John (Vickie) Russell.
Angel enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and singing in her church choir at Our Lady of Lourdes. She was a member of the Sacred Heart League at her church.
Angel was preceded in death by her sister, Janet, mother, Doris and stepfather, Bill. She is survived by her husband, Frank, their five children and spouses, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren.
