Carol Lou Wieschhaus

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial service will be on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Lourdes, 903 Bernadette Dr, Columbia, MO. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Babe was born on June 14, 1934 in Shamrock, MO the daughter of Marlin and Florence (Brown) Erwin who preceded her in death. She was married on May 9, 1953 in Martinsburg, MO to Norbert Wieschhaus who survives. She had a long career as lead cook at Columbia Catholic School. She was a member of Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered at the Wardrobe in Columbia, MO. . Babe loved spending time with her many family members doing the things she enjoyed most such as trout fishing, camping, Cardinal Baseball and MU Tiger football, basketball and particularly MU Women’s basketball.

Other survivors include: two sons, Paul Wieschhaus (Jerry) of Hartsburg, MO and Steve Wieschhaus (Shannon) of Columbia, MO; two grandsons, Andy Wieschhaus of St. Joseph, MO, James Wieschhaus of Columbia, MO; two brothers, Virgil “Boogie” Erwin of Auxvasse, MO and Glen Erwin (Carolyn) of Mexico, MO and one sister, Frances Erwin of Mt. Pleasant, TX along with several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne “Sport” Erwin, George Erwin and Ed Erwin and one sister “Bert” Erwin.
