Barbara Blunt Jones

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Memorial Funeral Home with Visitation 10 – 11 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 11 followed by interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Barbara was born in Macon County, Missouri on August 14, 1943 the daughter of Clyde Blunt and Esther (Webster) Blunt. On June 6, 1992 she was united in marriage to Spencer Jones who survives her passing.

Barbara had a career of over 30 years at the University of Missouri as an Administrative Associate in the Romance Language Department. She enjoyed being a homemaker, preparing meals and tending to her flowers each summer. She also enjoyed feeding and watching her hummingbirds. She looked forward to going to the beauty shop to get her hair done and to visit with her friends there. Barbara favorite way to enjoy a St. Louis Cardinals game was by listening to it one the radio.

Barbara is survived by her husband: Spencer; his two children: Patty (Shawn) Wells; Jamie Jones; one grandson: Dalton Wells; one brother: Charlie Crim; one sister: Bonny Boedeker; one brother-in-law: Jimmie (Deb) Jones; two sisters-in-law: Kate Ackerman; Glenda Zane and a host of cousins; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Bob Crim and one sister: Betty Crim.
