Alden W. Adams

Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Alden was born in Bardwell, KY on August 7, 1932, the son of Stanley R. and Pearl C. (Goins) Adams, who preceded him in death. He was married on August 16, 1952 in Bardwell, KY to Carolyn (Brown) Adams, who survives of the home. Alden retired from the Parks and Recreation Department with the City of Columbia. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and farming.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Cyndia Kay Perrigo of Centralia, MO, Brenda Jo (Lindell) Shelden of Waynesville, MO, and Alicia Ann Adams of Pine Ridge, SD; 4 grandchildren: Sally Jo (Travis) Haskell, Leslie A. Perrigo, Sara (Stephen) Rose, and Adam (Elizabeth) Shelden; 4 great grandchildren: Austin, Brandan, Dawson and Mayci; brother Joe (Joyce) Adams of Bardwell, KY, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Boyd Perrigo, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
