With deepest sorrow we share that Makenzie Rynn, age 27, passed away on January 4, 2023. She is finally at peace after a hard fought battle with cancer. Cherished daughter of Amy Greer and John T. Rynn, Jr she is survived by brother Tyler Greer, husband Michael (Mikey) Wilkerson, stepmother Angela Rynn, grandparents John T. Rynn Sr, Joanne Rynn, and Sandy Greer along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her brother John (Johnny) T. Rynn III and grandfather John (Chris) Greer.
Makenzie was raised in Columbia Maryland and attended Seton Keough High School where she graduated with honors. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University in 2018 and continued her academic pursuits receiving her graduate degree in Behavioral Psychology in May 2022. While attending college she played soccer and worked as an intern and fitness instructor.
Makenzie was a beauty inside and out with a passion for living life to the fullest. She was selfless and quick with a smile or word of encouragement to lift the spirits of others. She had a remarkable ability to put others at ease, offer comfort, or just create space for you to be yourself. Makenzie was very passionate about helping other people and that always shone through even as she was going through her own cancer journey. She will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
