Barbara Ann Wilson, aged 76, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on July 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonso and Marguerite Leftridge, and three sisters and one brother.
Barbara’s life was defined by her deep faith in Jesus Christ, whom she lovingly called “my precious Lords.” She led the Women's Ministry at Fort Hood, TX, and was a devoted Evangelist and Intercessor. Barbara met her husband, Melvin, at 24, and together they traveled the world, sharing fifty beautiful years.
A gifted creator, Barbara started Collage of Life, creating art that brought joy to many. She was also a dedicated family woman, known as Barb, Barbie, Barbann, Baby-love, and Grandmom. She leaves behind her husband, Melvin C. Wilson; daughter April and son-in-love Antwuan Jones; son Andrew and daughter-in-love Jackie Wilson; granddaughters Briyanna Wilson and Naiya (Noah) Sabatka; four sisters, one brother, and many adored nieces and nephews.
Barbara loved life, laughter, and music. She was a Baltimore Ravens fan and even dabbled in rap music under the name Be-bobb! She achieved her GED and an associate’s degree in business administration from Phoenix University.
Barbara Ann Wilson’s legacy of faith, creativity, and love will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Witzke Funeral Homes Inc., 5555 Twin Knolls Road, Columbia, MD 21045, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
The repast will be at 4pm at the home of Doug and Germain Leftridge. 7441 Mink Hollow Road, Highland, MD 20777.
