Ricardo Huerta, 64, passed away quiet and peacefully on Friday evening, July 4, 2014 at his home in the company of his family in San Jacinto, CA. He was born on April 3, 1950 in Guetamo, Michoacán Mexico to Antonio and Filiberta Huerta and was the eldest of 12 siblings.
Ricardo came to California in 1969 at age 19, met Carmen in 1971 and was happily married for 42 years. Ricardo, Carmen and their two children lived in Kansas, Texas, Mexico and Colorado, before settling back to California in the town of San Jacinto in 2000. He began his ministry as a Literature Evangelist in 1976 and in 1986 he decided to attend the University of Montemorelos in Mexico. After hard work and dedication he received a Bachelor’s degree in Theology & Religion along with credentials as a Journalist for the International United Press. In 1995 he began his lifelong ministry working as a Seventh day Adventist Ordained Minister. Pastor Ricardo Huerta was a loving husband, father and papa who was dedicated and devoted to serving the Lord and his Churches.
Ricardo is survived by his spouse Carmen Huerta of San Jacinto, CA; his son and wife Richard and Paula Huerta of Hemet, CA; his daughter Jackie Huerta of San Jacinto, CA; his beautiful grand-daughters Maritza, Giselle and Sasha Huerta.
A memorial service will be held at Loma Linda University Church 11125 Campus St. Loma Linda, CA 92354. The family will be greeting friends and colleagues from 6-8pm Wednesday July 16, 2014. Flowers will be accepted at this address.
