Mike McBride was a beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather. He passed peacefully at the age of 77 on July 3, 2019 with Connie, his wife of 55 years, by his side. He was also survived by his daughter Jenny Steinhour, son-in-law Sean Steinhour, and grandchildren Erin and Mikey Steinhour. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph “Mac” and Clara McBride, brother Alan McBride, and son Jim McBride.
Mike was born Orange CA, and raised in San Bernardino, CA. He also lived in Rialto, Lake Arrowhead, Georgia, and San Diego. He went to University of Arizona Pharmacy School, and became a registered pharmacist for over 40 years. He owned Darrah’s Pharmacy in San Bernardino for more than 20 years, and later worked for Rite Aid in Lake Arrowhead.
Mike was passionate about the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing all his life. While living in Lake Arrowhead for 20 years, he spent most of his free time on his bass boat fishing with his dog. He described the outdoors as his church. After retiring, Mike and Connie became full time RVers for many years, and enjoyed traveling the United States. Their favorite destination was Southern Utah, where Mike had gone on family vacations as a child, and continued to go with his family and friends for 60 consecutive years. He shared his experiences and favorite fishing holes with many friends and family members, who will continue his life-long tradition of vacationing in this beautiful area. We will all think of him with every fish we catch there, for generations to come.
