Lino G. Hernandez Jr., 94 years old of Riverside, California, passed away on Friday, Nov 15, 2024, at his home. He was born on October 9, 1930 in Lamar, CO to Lino and Rosa Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his wife Julia Hernandez. He is survived by his children, Samuel, Andrew, Anthony and Albert Hernandez, Priscilla Kelton, Patricia Prendez, Nancy Hernandez-Duran and Denise Machado. He is also survived by his 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ernest, Salvador Hernandez and Martha Lopez.
He served as a Sargent (T) in the US Army. He trained in Okinawa with a tour of duty in Korea. He earned an Army Occupation Medal (Japan), a Korean Service Medal W\1 Bronze Service Star, a United Nations Service Medal, and a Combat Infantry Badge. He was honorably discharged on 30 June 1952 with an MOS of Business Admin.
Lino was an Sr. Project Manager with Lockheed for over 30 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec 3, 2024, 5-9 p.m., Rosary at 6 p.m. at Montecito Valley View Chapel, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton, California. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, 9 a.m., at All Souls Mausoleum followed by entombment, both at 3510 E. Washington St., Colton, California.
Lino will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
