Grace G Turley

Grace (Gorde) Turley, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2023. She was born in South St. Paul, Minnesota, on February 5, 1930, to Theresa Jovanavich Milosevich and Peter Milosevich. Grace moved to Southern California in 1955 and met her husband, Jerry, at a naval officer’s party in San Diego. They married in 1956 and settled in the Grand Terrace / Redlands area where they remained for 67 years. She was a long-time parishioner at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Loma Linda. Her life was devoted to the love of her family and, especially, to her daughter, Gail, in advocating for special needs children.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Grace is survived by her four children, Maureen Turley O'Connell (Danny), Tom Turley (Molly), Diane Turley Grich (Bob) and Gail Turley; grandchildren, Brennan Alvarez (Alana), Connor Alvarez, Katie Touzinsky (Ben), Shannon Turley, Erin Lane (Owen), Stephen Grich (Brittany) and Natalie Shires (Jeremy); great grandchildren Landon Alvarez, Ayla Alvarez, Addison Touzinsky and Brody Grich.

Grace was the second youngest child in a large Serbian family of 13 children and was the last sibling to pass away. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Theresa and Peter Milosevich; husband, Gerald (Jerry) Turley; brother, Walter Milosevich; sisters, Dorothy (Hrnjez), Natalie (Morris), Doris (Jerhoff), Joyce (Persac), Estelle (Greene), Sylvia (Lundgren), Diana (Shanley), Rose (Bielke), Angela (Milosevich), Leona (Scanlan) and Jeanie (Reid).

Visitation with rosary will be held from 9-10 AM on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Montecito Memorial Park Valley View Chapel located at 3520 E Washington Street, Colton, CA, 92324. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM immediately following the visitation. A graveside ceremony will follow the funeral service at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery. A reception will be held at Redlands Country Club immediately following the graveside ceremony.

Grace never left the house without wearing lipstick or her signature red. In honor of Grace, feel free to wear something red to celebrate her vibrant personality and amazing life.
