Since my beloved mother passed away, we have felt as though the world has changed in an irreversible way. However, every time we close our eyes, we can still hear her voice, feel her laughter, and remember the deep love she had for us. With her, we could always be ourselves.
Through her example, she taught us to have faith in God, trust in our strength, and believe in the Virgin Mary, who always prays for us. She taught us to have compassion for others, even though she did not have much herself; whenever someone asked for help, she always gave it.
She demonstrated unwavering strength, teaching us to never give up. Despite the many struggles we faced, she showed us how to rise above them and keep moving forward.
Her love for us—her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends—was unconditional, pure, and sincere.
In her final days, she reaffirmed all the beautiful qualities that defined her, leaving each of us with a profound lesson in life. She smiled through her pain, never once complained about her illness, and was grateful for the visits from family and friends. Most importantly, she felt loved in every moment, right up until the end…
"I’M FREE"
Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call,
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the close of day
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,
Good friends, good times, my loved one’s touch
If my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart, rejoice with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
