When I think of Grandpa I think of a man who always did the right thing. I guess the word that comes to mind is " noble". he was a noble man who i look up to very much and always will. I miss him very much and i will always think of him when i think of this family and the decisions i have to make raising my children. I love him very much. I miss you Grandpa.

I miss him so very much. Every day my heart looks for him to be here with us.I know it is not to be. My Daddy memories flood my heart and my day. I know I will never be whole again.

Although we never had the good fortune to meet Bill, we have known his daughter Nancy for many years, and her love and devotion to her “daddy” has always been an inspiration. Nancy always had the most kind and loving words when speaking about him. We know he will be remembered fondly by all the people whose lives he touched. Our sincere condolences go out to your family for the loss of your father, husband, uncle and grandfather. He played such an important and special role in all of your lives, and he will surely be missed.

Grandpa was a great man who lived to a good old age, full of years. Hard working, loyal, friendly. He would start a conversation up with anybody & loved to listen. 
He was one of the coolest men I have ever known and certainly one of the few who could pull off a belt & suspenders at the same time and that while wearing shorts! 
You will be missed Grandpa. This brief separation only makes us long for heaven that much more which I believe is God's plan for us.

Only knowing Bill through Kathleen, who is one of the most genuine wonderful ladies I have ever known, he is with the angels now and we are all singing! My best to your family and prayers forever!

While I never had the wonderful pleasure to have met Bill, I am quite certain I knew the kind of man and father he was because I am certain it must well be reflected in the kind, caring, thoughtful loyal, loving and lovely humorous nature I have always found in my dearest friend Nancy – his daughter.  I know she was raised by special parents and I am sure Bill will be held forever with his light burning bright in Nancy's and the whole family's hearts.

Bill was a special brother-in-law.  We loved him very very much.
The entire family loved it when he'd travel to Seattle and we'd have him to ourself. He and Mable were an inspiration - true soulmates, and they raised a wonderful family.

Uncle Bill,

As a child, it was so exciting when "Uncle Bill" was coming to visit.  Our visits to California were with everyone, but your visits to Washington were special,  because it was just with you.  Thank you for taking the time and having the patience that made a little girl feel special and important.  You taught me that an Uncle is an extension of my father as a loving, trusting man.  I will miss the sound of your voice, your arm around me and your smile. Thank you for nothing but happy memories.

Grandpa, what an inspiration he was! I have had the amazing pleasure of knowing him and being a part of his life and family for the past 4 1/2 years! What am honor it was to know him! He was the grandpa I never had growing up! I will miss your smart remarks and the chuckles that would follow! Thank you for the example you set for all of us! I love you and will miss you dearly!

My grandpa was funny, smart, and so strong.  I can't remember any event in my life, big or small, where he wasn't there.  He's been a steadfast presence in all our lives, always cracking jokes, and always there to lend a hand. He had such a big heart.  I remember climbing all over him as a little kid and he never told me to go away and leave him alone. I miss you already grandpa! I am happy that you're finally free from pain, and like Sophie said, now you're allowed to eat candy! I can't wait to see you again in heaven.

What a wonderful man!  One of my favorite uncles. God bless you Aunt Mable, Mike, Nancy, Kathleen and Diana.  He was a very honorable man.

He was one of he best men i ever knew. He set the bar as a gandpa father brother and friend. I cant picture a family party wthout his face and comments. He will be missed. I love you grandpa.

I enjoyed meeting you when I worked at Colton Unified School District with your daughter Kathleen. When I met you and your wife I knew that is why Kathleen is a great person because you raised her well. You will be missed dearly.

Kathleen I am sending prayers and blessed thoughts to you and your family.  I know how difficult this time is but please know I am hear anytime you need talk.

My Daddy, the hard working loving gentle man I measured all others by. No one will ever take your place. I miss you more than my heart can stand. I am only glad you are no longer in pain. You are now walking upright, laughing, telling jokes and giving Sonny a big hug. You will be in my heart forever.

You worked so hard--leaving your parent's home, never to return, when just a boy of boy of 15. Supported yourself. Fell in love with the wife of your youth-just two years later. Married that blonde haired, blue eyed, bouncy walking Mable.(your words) Over the next 70 plus years--you loved her. And she, you. You were her only boyfriend, her Bill. 
Whatever would our lives have been like without your faithful adherence to all-things-family? You never went out with the guys. Never left us, to find you. Every night off, every weekend it was all about your Mable and your kids.
There is an empty spot here--directly reflecting the newly filled spot there. 
You wait for us--walking on two legs--running, fishing, laughing your booming laugh. You will wait. And we will come.
