Shirley Ann Calhoun, 89, was glorified December 17, 2021. Shirley was born May 21, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was married first to Kenneth Williams, and second to T.J. Calhoun, both of whom preceded her in death.
T.J. and Shirley enjoyed a successful real estate career in Florissant, Colorado. Shirley worked at Hewlett Packard for about 12 years before she started in real estate.
Her nickname was Cricket because she would never sit still, she was always jumping around doing something. Shirley loved baking cakes for church and people she knew. She loved God and angels. Shirley was a cancer survivor. She loved to bowl, golf, go for rides in a car or take motorhome trips. She played pool with family, and enjoyed dancing. Shirley loved doing things for others, and never went to someone’s house empty handed. She was always dressed nicely with her hair done, but her outfits, perfume and jewelry didn’t have to be expensive. If her hair wasn’t looking good, she would wear a hat until she got to a beauty shop, which was funny to some, but never to her. She taught her children good work ethics. When she was upset or angry, those blue eyes showed it.
Shirley is survived by four children, Ricky Williams of Colorado Springs, Sherry Williams of Ontario California, Candy Garrett of Woodland Park Colorado, Karen Glenn and Son-in-Law David Glenn of Colorado Springs. She also enjoyed her seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren
