Rosemary Boatman, age 84, a resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on September 15, 2014 at a local care center. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Rosemary was born on January 1, 1930 in Jefferson County, Missouri to the late Benjamin Otto and Bertha Lee (Bradshaw) Tabor. She grew up and finished school in Oklahoma. She married Carl Boatman in 1972 in Colorado Springs.
Rosemary retired from Sunshine Learning Center after working for many years as a cook. She enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles and was a member of a bowling league. She loved going up into the mountains and looking for unusual rocks.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; four children: Melva (Vic) Cook, Barbara (Bob) White, Stephen Voyles, and Karen (Walter) Weselowski; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by seven of her siblings: Frances Tyree, Jack Tabor, Zelda Kerby, Bertha Brady, Troy Tabor, Geraldean Heatherly, and Marlene Moore.
Rosemary was preceded in death by a son, Billy Voyles, in 1974; and a daughter, Lana Flowers in 1996.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1128 E Boulder Street.
