January 30th, 1936 ~ June 13th, 2011
Roland Franklin Plamondon departed from us when the light touched the earth on the 13th of June, 2011. Roland was an amazing husband, father and grandfather; he will be missed by all who knew him. He had the best sense of humor and could make anyone smile.
Born to Oscar and Emma Plamondon on January 30th, 1936 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The youngest son of 11 siblings, Roland joined his older brothers in the service. He served in the US Air Force, worked at WOLF Research and Development, NORAD and performed 30 years of civil service before retiring at the age of 64.
Roland and wife of 55 years, Patricia Luci Plamondon, were parents, grandparents, best friends, and traveling partners. He enjoyed collecting coins, good food, good company, good comedies, and the New York Yankees. He was extremely intelligent and charismatic. Roland was a man of integrity, dignity and honor.
Roland fought Parkinson’s disease for 30 years, and as times got more difficult he always kept smiling, until the day he left us. He will always remain in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. He is now free -- mind, body, and soul.
