Robert James Clark, beloved husband, father, brother and uncle passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on June 23rd, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado due to metastasized liver cancer.
He knew only friends, not strangers or enemies and exhibited true selflessness. Bob was known for his positive outlook, caring heart, and entertaining story telling. He had a life-long love for all creatures, preparing culinary delights, drawing, and rocks.
He was born in Phoenix Arizona on May 6th, 1954 the youngest of three children born to the late Bruce and Wanda Clark.
Bob graduated from Arizona State University with an Engineering Degree. He then joined the United States Air Force for helicopter flight training where he met and married his loving wife of 43 years, Cynthia Clark. He attained the rank of Captain flying special helicopter operations. Robert’s calling was in Aeronautical Engineering being employed most of his post military career with Lockheed Martin. His passion was space and his profession was dedicated to the space shuttle, various satellite and missile programs.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, devoted wife, Cynthia Clark; loving children Jeanette Clark of Colorado Springs Colorado; Carrie Clark-Pauser of La Quinta California; treasured sisters, Kris Perry of Reinbeck New York; Karen Perz of Ponca City Oklahoma; as well as a host of much-loved extended family and friends.
Cremation has taken place at Bobs request and a family Celebration of Life will take place privately. Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Bob’s life in their own way, giving back to animals or raising a glass of their favorite drink in his memory would be quite appropriate.
In lieu of flowers and to commemorate this cherished man, a memorial tribute fund has been created and donations may be made to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Colorado in Bob’s name; giving back to the animals and nature that he held so dear.
