Bo was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Hamilton, and his grandparents, Victor and Maria Gutierrez (John Marez).
Bo is survived by his wife Carmen Hamilton, mother Connie Gutierrez-Hamilton, son Rob Hamilton (Heather), daughter Christina Manheimer (Aaron), stepchildren Mark Martinez (Emily) and Natali Martinez, grandchildren Lilli’ana Martinez, Jordan Allen, Aalaina Martinez, Benjamin Hamilton, Ellia Hamilton and siblings Albert Hamilton (Tina), Gilbert Hamilton (Juanita), Cathryn McDonald (Dave), and Sally Weber (Patrick). Bo is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and close friends.
Bo began his career with the Will County Carpenters Local 174 in Joliet, IL. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1982 and fulfilled his dream of being a cowboy at Peerless Farms, a ranch in eastern CO. After a couple years Bo hung up his saddle and started Hamilton’s Quality Carpentry, a 13 year business which won Manitou’s Best Historical Renovation award. From 1997-2005 Bo and Carmen owned and operated the Mill Hill Saloon, “Yahoo!”. Most recently Bo was a senior heavy equipment operator for the City of Colorado Springs Street Department and owner of Ivywild Tap.
Most importantly Bo was a man of faith who loved his family. His wife of 30 years, Carmen, was his angel and best friend, and his children and grandchildren were the passions of his life. Bo was a carpenter by trade who took great pride in the craftsmanship of his work. He had a unique sense of creativity and vision that made every project he touched turn to gold. Bo also had a unique way to make everyone around him feel special, a sense of humor like no other, and was the greatest storyteller of all time. Bo’s one of a kind spirit will live on forever through his grandchildren, friends, and family and he will never be forgotten. So raise your glass in memory of Bo and tell your best story! That’s what he would have wanted.
