Marjorie and her identical twin sister, Betty, were born November 20, 1932 in Gary, Indiana. They remained close, talking daily despite the miles between them until Betty’s death in July 2021. After Marjorie graduated from DePauw University in 1954, she married her true love David and they moved to Charleston, Arkansas while David completed his army service. She supported him by teaching in the public schools then and again when they moved to Boston while David was at Harvard Business School. She went back to teaching in Dallas becoming the director of the preschool at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church for many years. She loved being on the floor singing and teaching the children in her care.
Marjorie lived a robust life filled with love and giving back to her family and community. She was active in the Girl Scouts and the Association for Children with Learning Disabilities. Both she and David were active members of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church and in their Adams and Eves Sunday school class. In retirement, they moved to Santa Fe, NM and enjoyed many years of travel and entertaining friends. They then moved to Colorado Springs in 2019 to be closer to Ann and Khan. She will be missed greatly by we are thankful for her faith and are assured that we will meet again in heaven.
