Lea was born in Guam on February 18, 1939 to Jose M. Champaco and Carmen Cruz Champaco.
She worked for numerous private companies as a General Sales Clerk and most recently worked for the Oakland Airport.
Lea was a devote member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She loved going to casinos.
Lea is survived by 8 children; Cheryl (Franklin), Lyle, Douglas (Lisa), Cathy (Jay), Jackie, Bobbie, Robin (Rhea) and Michelle, 29 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 7 sisters. She is preceded in passing by 2 brothers.
Viewing will be held, Thursday, September, 27th from 5:00-6:30 p.m. with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 US-85, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80911. Reception to follow from 4:00 -9:00 p.m. at 4715 Clearview Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80911.
