Margot Ströhlein Delgado passed from this life into the hands of God on May 12, 2010 at her home in Manitou Springs. Margot was born on November 21, 1937 in Tschrim, Germany to Andreas and Gunni Stark Ströhlein.
Her husband, David Delgado whom she met when he was stationed in Germany, survives her. They were happily married for 54 years. Other survivors include sisters Monika Horn and Christa Haas of Bayreuth, Germany and God-child Angelika Ströhlein also of Germany.
Margot was a talented artist, chef, and a devoted wife and homemaker. She worked as a pastry chef at the Broadmoor Hotel and retired from Hewlett Packard. She designed phenomenal works of art that included room sized mechanized Christmas villages that changed every year, marvelous flower arrangements and incredible cakes, cookies and meals from all over the world.
Some of Margot’s happiest times were traveling with her Dave and their beloved puppies in their beautiful motor home with their ‘yacht’ in tow. An avid fisherperson, she usually caught the most and biggest fish.
Margot was amazingly talented, courageous, generous, incredibly organized, and was an unsurpassed life partner for husband, Dave. Margot always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye that will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
