I’ll never forget you being silly as always saying “ permit” in a foreign accent when we were at the pool ….. or building crazy forts with you in the forest out of drift wood , you even made a pine cone wind chimes . You’d always eat spaghetti when you were sad but when you were happy you danced until you collapsed . All the little things I love about you. When you’d dance 2 the office theme song 4 your mom … or you’d come home from work and give me the biggest hug . How I always left you a note in our mini mail box and you’d leave one 2 … I’d look forward 2 that note everyday . I thank the universe that I got to spend time with you . We shared secrets we had never told anyone to each other and you never judged me you just loved me more . I’m always going to miss you …. You filled a room with happiness just by being present truly divine .

My name is Gerri Stanford and I was Kathryn's first grade teacher at Banning Lewis Ranch Academy. I was so shocked and saddened to hear the devastating news of Kathryn's passing.  She stands out in my memory because of her very nature and I remember her clearly along with her wonderful mom. Kathryn was always a bright, happy child and even at six years old she was  bent towards looking out for the interest of others. Empathetic and dear with a beautiful smile and eyes that drew you in,  her presence helped make my classroom more joyous and peaceful.  Other children were attracted to her because they instinctively knew she was someone they could trust,  be listened to and encouraged by,  even at that young age.
I remember at the end of that school year, she and her mom brought me a basket full of helpful household items that Kathryn helped to pick out,  which struck me as so thoughtful - I never forgot that kindness and the sheer pleasure it gave her to see me smile.
The Bible says in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."  May you  experience in full the only true peace from Christ that does pass all our earthly understanding. I am all the richer from having known such a wonderful young person who graced my classroom each day and in countless ways I can see that she touched the lives of so many. You have my sincere prayers as you navigate this extremely difficult time.

I remember having you in weights class and I know we didn't conversate  much but when we did it was like we we're already best friends, after I graduated with you still being a junior, few years went by and we some how found our way back to reconnect and to build a relationship. I remember you asking me to train you in the gym and to go on bike rides, and have me take portraits of you. I'm happy that I got to spend my time with you, I'm happy that I got to tell you my life story and I'm am so honored to have heard yours, I'm happy that we got to laugh. 

I love you, this isn't goodbye but I'll definitely be waiting to see you soon beautiful. 

Kat was a blessing to have as a classmate in school, I loved seeing her brighten everyone’s day as well as mine, she was never afraid to speak her mind, and never hesitant to compliment someone, I’ll miss the days of her hiding behind the desks in my classes just to hang out, and the days she’d find me skipping having a hard day and take the time out of her day to hang out with me for a bit, I appreciated her every moment lightening my day. She touched my heart and I wish I could’ve done the same during her rough times. Love from your “Egirl” as she would call me , that beautiful smile lives on 

When I first  met Kat she  gave me a ride to school. Because we got there early she took me around the whole school holding my hand and then walked me to class, she proceeded to eat lunch with me and come to my classes to give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. 
She told me that she didn’t like texting or talking on the phone but that she would always talk to me. 
We hadn’t talked for a few months and she had been on my mind so I texted her. Instead of replying she called me and we talked on the phone for minutes, which turned to hours. She asked how I was and then told me about all the exciting things she was up to and had the biggest smile on her face the entire time. When we hung up she told me to stay safe and text her whenever I needed. 
 She brightened up my entire world. 

I am Jamie. I wasn't close with Kat, but we knew one another at school. We were both in Ceramics II together at Vista Ridge High School. We had a lot of fun joking and messing around in that class. I admired her from the moment I met her on the first day we had the class together. I always thought she was so confident, strong, independent, and just amazing overall. I actually aspired to be somewhat like her as I grew older and graduated high school. A lot of times, she had been in the back of my mind anytime I felt insecure or down. I would just think about how self-loving she was and immediatley feel better about myself. It is devastating to know she has decided to leave this world. I believe she would have made a mark on this world like no other if she had held on a little longer. She has made a mark with so many people despite her decision though. I wish you would have stayed. I wish I could have seen your pain and helped you. I'm sorry Kat. I'll miss you and think of you.

My name is Kylie I met Kat by working with her wonderful mom at Jcp.Loved when Kat would come visit her mom lots of times she would bring rolls and the butter from Texas Roadhouse that all of us workers would fight to get one.Kat would always shine a light and show that beautiful smile where ever she was it was fun to be around her you will be missed a lot and heaven has a beautiful angel now Rest In Peace.

Kat would always come into JCPenny while I worked there and her presence lit up a room like no other... From making the funniest jokes with her amazing mom Kathleen, to bringing us those bread rolls we all fought for from Texas Road house... She was one of the sweetest, most compassionate, bright beings i’ve ever had the grace of meeting and it breaks my heart that I will never be able to bask in the light her presence brought again. She brought so much love into the world in the midst of a war with her own shadows... and it truly shows how the brightest of lights often suffer the darkest of nights... May her spirit and presence be something to always remember, and inspire us to bring more love into a world of one that dearly needs it.  I wish only she knew the extent of her reach, and how incredibly loved she was by many. I hope you get your rest, and find the peace you’ve always deserved.  You’ll be loved, and live on in the hearts of many for lifetimes to come.

Hi my name is Cheyenne and I knew kat from high school and we were super close through sophomore year. She was a huge inspiration in my life . She helped come out to my family and friends and always loved me no matter what. I will never forget the volleyball seasons we shared together and the continuous laughs. I will miss you dearly. My names grace and I knew kat from school. Her and I went to prom together and homecomings 😭 she helped me when no one else could the way she did. Kat meant the world to everyone, Kat was someone who never feared being herself. She was so loving and caring. No matter how small or big, black or white, mean or nice... she loved you for you. She always made you feel loved even when you didn’t love yourself. She was my other half and anywhere I was she was. We did everything together. She made me feel happy with who I was.  Kat is the reason my love for god is as strong as it is. I have her to thank for bringing my family to Christ and I don’t take that lightly. I met Kat my freshman year of high school, her junior year. She was one of my moms students and I always thought she was so thoughtful and amazing. I was having a rough time and she took me in without any questions asked. She let me sit with her and her friends at lunch and she would always walk me to class. We grew really close and I was able to look up to her. She became like an older sister for me. Even after I moved away, we were able to keep in touch. She would always be there for me, even if it was late at night. Kat always told me she was going to come and visit me and my family one day. Kat is someone I hold very close to my heart and someone that I will always admire. I have many amazing memories and laughs with her. Kat was so amazing and was able to teach me many life lessons. I will forever admire her and her one of a kind personality.

I remember when me and Kat hung out all the time in 7th grade. We had the best of times before we all went our separate ways in high school. She was so beautiful even then. She was so sweet to everyone and I will always remember her as someone who was a ray of sunshine in a lot of peoples hearts. She was so accepting. 

I knew Kat through my daughter and they had hung out at our house several time. She always made me laugh and was such a sweet young lady. Prayers and hugs to her family. I am so sorry you are having to travel this path.

I had Kat in junior English class 2018-2019. From the first day, she was my helper. She was always a bright light, lighting up any room she entered. She also became friends with my daughter Katie and my son Christian. Katie regularly ate lunch with Kat. Kat took my little freshman under her wing. Kat called me her school mom and would come say hello even on days we did not have class. She knew how much I loved Texas Roadhouse rolls and salad and often surprised me with both. She was generous and caring beyond her years. She could always find a way to make me laugh. I moved away in June 2019, but we kept in touch...just not often enough. She continued to chat with my Katie and often said she was going to come visit us some day. While I grow fond of all of my students, Kat was one of those that I immediately connected with and truly loved. She was a rare gem. My heart is broken. She’s gone way too soon. My heart goes out to her family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I cannot even fathom what you’re experiencing. I want you to know that in her short time with us she made an impact on all who came in contact with her. She was a truly remarkable and stunningly beautiful young woman. One of my best students as well...so smart and a talented writer. She will be forever missed. We love you Kat. Find peace and rest now. Forever in our hearts. 

I met Kat my freshman year she was a senior. And these past few months she had became my closet friend we went the gym together, went to the mall,Jamed out in the car etc.. Kat was unlike any person I had ever met and the way that me and her clicked was unlike any bond I had with anyone. We used to always face time and fall asleep on FaceTime just to make sure the other one sleeps. We would encourage each other to eat and actually get up and do something. There was never a dull moment with her ,,it was almost like she was my twin, we acted the same way in most cases. I have only met her mom through the phone and it was the funniest thing ever all she wanted to do was show me her outfit and Kat was trying to kick her out because she had to get ready for work. This hurts me deeply and I’ll never be the same I can only imagine what it’s doing to the family. I miss you so much already Kat...I’m even still texting you just in hope you will reply. I love you and I wish I could have helped you.

Thank you for being my friend back in high school . I was being bullied badly but you were there . Your smile lit up the entire place and made it all better . Dancing with you on dance team was so much fun but I never thought you would do something like this. I spoke to you a month ago , you seemed happy and just unbothered but I guess it’s true .... you never know what someone’s going through behind the phone & I wish you were able to vent to me . Kat was always there for everyone when we needed her. She created a friend group on Snapchat and we all have so many amazing memories of Kat. Without her none of us would know eachother and our lives would be so empty without her.

I met Kat online and only knew her a couple weeks. But in those 2 weeks she added joy back to my life. Her smile was beautiful and contagious. She will be missed.
