Born in Beech Grove, IN to parents Robert T. and Mildred A. Schroeder, Judy lived a long and
fulfilled life. She passed in her sleep just just before 1 AM, Monday, December 7th. She was the
third of six children (Patty, Bob, Jack, Garrey, and Tim). She is survived by her two daughters
and their husbands; Pamela A. Friedell & David from California and Cindy L. Kurey & William from New Mexico. Judy's only living sibling, Rev. Timothy M. Schroeder and wife Vonda K. live in Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Griffin, and then by her late husband, Les Campbell. She is also survived by her late husband’s sons and their wives and children: Dale Campbell and Valerie from Oklahoma and Ross Campbell and Tammy from Colorado. She is also survived by 5 grand-children, 7 great-grand-children and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Though she was dedicated to continually showing her love to her girls and their extended families ... though she loved and cherished 'her husbands, Judy's heart and soul were captured as a little girl when she fell in love with Jesus. To be near her, you would find yourself surrounded by wondrous smells of baking and cooking' . You would experience laughter that would warm you, joy that would lift you and love that would soak the heart. A profound gift giver and note writer, Judy would write innumerable letters and notes of her love and blessings ... She was a fulfillment of Ps. 45:1, "My heart is inditing a good matter, I speak of the things which I have made touching the King; my tongue is the pen~ a ready writer."
A great grand-daughter asked, "Who will write me sweet notes now?" Methinks, Judy's pen
is not finished ... nor, shall her memory be forgotten! SHE FINISHED WELL!
Note: It is said, "Obituaries are for the significant." Then this one must be published.
