John Anthony Roybal, 68, was born in Trinidad, Colorado on October 25, 1954. His parents were Maria Ignacita Garcia Roybal (1928-2003) and Jose David Roybal (1926-2013). John was proceeded in death by his brother, Davey Roybal (1949-1966) and his youngest son, Isaiah Juvera (1988-2020). John is survived by his three sons, Anthony, Gabriel, and Joshua Juvera. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Sanchez, Victor, Richard, Dianna, and Barb Roybal. John has eight grandchildren and one great Grandson. He is survived by his beloved dog "Pixie" and many life-long friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was a Christian when he died.
John was a construction worker or road transportation worker for most of his life. He was a life-long resident of Colorado Springs and moved to Pueblo four years before he passed. John made many life-long friends along the way. John was most proud of his sons, grandchildren, and Pixie, but also enjoyed collecting model cars, watching the Denver Nuggets, and sometimes even the Broncos. John had a love for "oldies" and often could be heard playing Christian and Mexican music in his home. When confronted with health problems near the end of his life, John summed it up by saying "It's in God's Hands". John was at peace with his life and himself and will be missed by those who knew him.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.at Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO. A reception will follow the service and the family asks that you bring a traditional Mexican dish or dessert to share.
