John retired from Weicker Moving & Storage after 35 years. After retirement he worked for Hertz Car Rental. He was a member of the Masonic lodge in Indianapolis, IN.
John is survived by his wife, Betty of 68 years. He is also survived by daughter, June (Gary) Aiken; grandchildren, Josh Aiken, Tara Akers, Kristen (Nick) MacDonald, Natalie Aiken; great-grandchildren Cameron & Brayden Akers, Kinsley MacDonald; brothers, Frank Brackin, Bobby Ray (Veralyn) Brackin; and MANY nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Swan Law Chapel. Services will be Thursday, August 13 at 1:00 pm at Swan Law Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO.
