He was born in Oakland California to mother Pamela Patrick and father James Senior.
James attended Gompers high school in California and moved to Colorado in the early 1990’s. Throughout his many career paths he found his calling in becoming “Mr. James the ICE CREAM MAN”.
He is survived to treasure his legacy by his wife Marjorie A. Quilter, loving children Austin, James, Justin, Jasmine, Van, Jaden, Marcus-James, Jamie, Aslyn and Morrison-James. He had one granddaughter Alaya, and four grandsons Austin Jr, Jakai, Miles and Elyjah.
James shared two sisters from his mother, Jana and Jade; and 31 siblings from his father, LaShawnda, Tai, Monique, Ebony, Iesha, Shawndale, Eric, Stephen, Marcus, Tony and many more. Followed by a host of wonderful cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
James was a builder, cook, helper, fixer and community leader as he helped everyone he knew. He always said “Be the best at what you do” and he truly lived up to that saying throughout his 46 years of life. He will be missed but never forgotten.
