James Leon Meisman entered this world on July 25, 1942 in Hodgeman County, Kansas, born to Bernhard Meisman and Mabel Moon Meisman. Jim was the 7th of 11 children and was blessed to grow up with 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Jim left this world for a better one on the evening of the 3rd of November, 2017 in Peyton, CO surrounded by his wife, Theresa, children Gary Lee, Patricia Ann, Brenda Kay, and Ronald Dean, and numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his sister, Darline Howland of Las Animas, CO, a brother, Al Meisman of Walsenburg, CO, a sister, Christina Meisman of Salt Lake City, UT, and a brother, Paul Meisman of Chadron, NE. Jim was preceded in passing by his parents, Ben and Mable Meisman of Hartman, CO a sister, Bernardine Jackson of Hartman, CO, a sister, Mary Webster, of Hartman, CO, a brother, Richard Meisman of Zephyr Hills, FL, a brother, Larry Meisman of Hartman, CO and a brother David Meisman of Tarpon Springs, FL.
Funeral services will be held on 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Rd. Colorado Springs, CO. and will be laid to rest at Eastonville Cemetery, Elbert, CO.
