Helen Marjorie Scott

She was born July 25, 1925 in Centralia, Missouri to James and Nadine Ridgeway. She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Scott and her son Steven K. Scott, her parents and two brothers.

She graduated from Lakin Rural High School, Lakin, Kansas in 1943. After graduation she went to work for the Production and Marketing Administration, a division of the Department of Agriculture, in Lakin, where she worked for ten years.

On January 4, 1948 she married William Lee Scott and to this union two children were born, Steven Kent and Marla Jo.

Helen and her husband Bill and family moved to Colorado Springs in 1956 and continued living there until the present time, with the exception of four years living in Cody, Wyoming.

After starting her family she remained in the home being a loving wife, Mother and Grandmother.

Helen is survived by her daughter Marla Jo (Gregg) Dahlberg, two grandchildren, Scott (Kristen) Dahlberg and Kami (Shane) Hahn, and two great-grandchildren, Brecklyn Lee Dahlberg and Sawyer Elaine Dahlberg.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 14 at 9:00 a.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade, Colorado Springs, Colorado with burial in the Lakin Cemetery, Lakin, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Care and Share, Springs Rescue Mission, or a charity of the donor's choice.
