Fed W. King, Sr. beloved Dad, grandfather and soulmate to Sue Mitchell passed away on January 12, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 11, 1938, the last of seven children.
Fred was gifted painter, wallpaper hanger and homebuilder. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, horseback riding, hunting and country dancing. Later in life, he enjoyed gardening and cooking. Fred loved making people laugh with a good story or joke. He loved his dog Squeaky.
He leaves behind two children, Fred King, Jr of Colorado Springs, Colorado and a daughter SueAnne Dezso of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren Alex King, Matthew Spry, Rachel Spry Danelle Spry and Rebecca Spry.
Services scheduled for Monday, January 21, 2019 at 12:00 p.m., Swan-Law Funeral Directors Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado. Burial will take place in March in Divide due to the frozen ground.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Adult & Teen Challenge, 1306 N. Park St, Brenham, Texas.
