Evelyn Martin

Evelyn Forster Martin born 30 July 1927 in Colorado Springs, passed away 15 Feb 2013, at the age of 85, she died at home surrounded by her family. She married Edgar L Martin on 28 October 1951 who survives; they were married for 61 years. Evelyn graduated from Colorado Springs High School (Palmer) class of 1945.

Besides her husband, Evelyn is survived by son Robert Martin of Colorado Springs; her daughter Julie Martin (Andy) of St Paul, MN; daughter, Linda Moore (Mike) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; one sister Josieanne Doyle of Phoenix, AZ; and four grandsons: Elijah, Isaac, Joshua, and Wilhelm. She was preceded in death by her son Steven Martin, her father Dr. A.M. Forster and her mother Liane (Queffelec) Forster.

Evelyn had a French mother and grandmother and had a great love for French language and culture. She had French exchange students in her home and twice visited France. She was known for her great love for dogs. She always had three Wire-haired Fox Terriers.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Director’s, 501 N. Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO. Cremation will take place following the service.
