Ellie was born to Alton Bryon and Jessie Irene (Brooks) Soule on March 17, 938 in Otselic, New York. She was the middle daughter of three. Ellie was a homemaker that had a cosmetology license at two different times and two different states; she also had an associate degree in interior design and was a realtor off and on for years.

On her 33rd birthday, she went to Ireland with a friend because she was born on St. Patrick’s Day. This was a lifetime dream of hers she was able to fulfil. She and Red used to square dance and meet lifelong friends of Horst and Wilma Kretz, through that activity.
She took pleasure in cooking and hosting guests when most of her life. Eleanor and Ezra would take long drives to bask in the beauty of Colorado and northern New Mexico. She was so inspired by the southwest, her home had an adobe exterior with southwestern interior furnishings. Ellie’s passion was cross stitch, but she would also crochet, knit, and sew to which her friends and relatives benefited from. She liked to read true crime books, watched television shows about it and watched the 24-hour news programs. A special mention needs to go to Julie and Randy Osborne, Ellie’s niece, and her husband, who were a true blessing to her. She loved her sisters and but especially her grandchildren. She was known as “Oma” by her grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hartman (Dan Hartman); her son Matthew Horton (Mia Horton); her sisters, Vicki Smith, and Claudia Loomis; her four grandchildren, Alina Grill (Joseph Grill), Elizabeth Nocon (Eric Nocon), Dr. Brittany Harman, and Kyle Hartman; great grandson, John Grill; and six nieces and nephews.
