Edward "Eddie" Brian Lopez

Eddie Lopez received his angel wings on May 6, 2023 after a prolonged illness. Eddie was born August 7, 1985 in California. Eddie attended Fallbrook Elementary School in Fallbrook, California; Vista Middle School, Vista, California and graduated in 2006 from Mesa Ridge High School in Fountain, Colorado.

Eddie attended the Goodwill Journeys Day program from 2006 to 2021.

Eddie is survived by his parents of Fountain, Colorado and his sister from Vista, California. In addition, Eddie is survived by his grandmother of Pueblo, Colorado, his aunts from Pueblo and Broomfield, Colorado, his Uncle from Colorado Springs, Colorado and numerous other uncles and cousins.

Eddie will be missed. His laugh will echo and remain in our house forever. His smile would light up a room. He would melt your heart in an instant with the glimmer of his beautiful eyes .

Eddie was special to all who knew him. We love you Jito. In our hearts you will remain.

A private service for immediate family and invited guests only will be held at Memorial Gardens in Colorado Springs on:

HEAVEN’S VERY SPECIAL CHILDREN

A meeting was held quite far from earth,

“It’s time again for another birth.” Said the angels to the Lord above,

“This special child will need much love.”

“Their progress may be very slow,

Accomplishments they may not show. And they’ll require extra care

From the folks they meet down there.”

“They may not run or laugh or play,

Their thoughts may seem quite far away. In many ways they won’t adapt,

And they’ll be known as ‘Handicapped’.”

“So let’s be careful where they’re sent. We want their lives to be content.

Please, Lord, find the parents who

Will do a special job for you.”

“They will not realize right away The leading role they are asked to play.

But with this child sent from above comes stronger faith and richer love.”

“And soon they’ll know the privilege given in caring for their special gift from Heaven. Their precious charge, so meek and mild,

Is heaven’s very special child.”
