Dorcas Rebecca "Beckie" Tidwell Robertson

Dorcas Rebecca Robertson, age 84, passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on February 9, 2022 in Colorado Springs, CO. Beckie was born on November 13, 1937 to parents, Howard and Juanita Tidwell of Point, Union Parish, Louisiana and had one brother, Howard Udell Tidwell.

Beckie graduated from Southern Bible Institute High School, Waxahachie, Texas in 1955. Beckie married, James L. Robertson on July 21, 1956, at the Assembly of God Church in Tolleson, Arizona. Together they had daughter, Cheryl Diane and son, Steven Lloyd.

Beckie lived a full life and enjoyed being a mother, homemaker, and telephone operator. After retiring in 1986, she and James began their second career and enjoyed driving tour buses at the Grand Canyon and Page, Arizona. Beckie was a lifetime member of the Assemblies of God fellowship. Beckie was passionate about many things, especially sewing, family genealogy, photography and RV traveling with the KKIBB CLUB friends.

Beckie is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cheryl and Gary Dutton, son and daughter in law, Steven and Shelley Robertson. Grandchildren: Bryan and Amy Dutton, Aaron Dutton and Desiree Johnson, Jake Robertson and Jennifer Mora. Great-grandchildren: Carter, Jeremiah, Emmelia and Shiloh Dutton, Joziah Johnson, and brother in law, Don Robertson of Oklahoma. Nieces & Nephews by marriage: Vickie and Don Owen, Rose and Wayne Eklund, Susan and Gary Clum and their families.

Beckie was predeceased in death by her husband, James L. Robertson, parents, Howard and Juanita Tidwell, and brother, Udell Tidwell.

Celebration of Life service is Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 2:00, Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903. The final resting place will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, Colorado Springs, CO.
