Donald Field Craigie, aged 75, passed away peacefully with his wife Kay by his side on July 22, 2020, after several years battling cancer. Born to Donald P. Craigie and Barbara M. Field on September 2, 1944 in Fort Ticonderoga, New York, Don grew up hunting, fishing, trapping, and tapping sugar maple trees in his hometown of Schroon Lake, New York. A 1966 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Don served 28 years in the United States Air Force, including a one-year combat tour in Vietnam flying the F-4 Phantom II. Following his active-duty service, Don worked 14 years in the defense industry and recently as a partner for the baseball and softball academy D-Bat in Colorado Springs. Don is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kay Howard of Longmont, Colorado; his brother, Ron Craigie of Catskill, New York; his son, Todd; his daughter, Paige; and his five grandchildren: Skylar, Hunter, Cameron, Madison, and Ashlyn.
