David was born on April 23, 1965; in Springer, New Mexico to Paul F. and Frances R. Vigil. After graduating from Springer High School 1985; David completed his Honorary Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1989; at University of New Mexico.
David married his true love; August 30, 1997; T. Gayle Ellis and were blessed with two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kyleigh; of the family home in Colorado Springs.
David was preceded in passing by both his parents, his nephew, Anthony P. and his niece, Jennifer Vigil-Lopez both of Albuquerque; and his mother-in-law, Verda L. Ellis and sister-in-law Sherry R. Felker.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, daughters, his sister, Judy Leal of Albuquerque; two brothers, Toby and Richard P. (Betty) Vigil of Albuquerque and brothers-in-law, Stan (Edna) Ellis of Surprise, AZ; Gerald Ellis of Florence, CO, James Felker of Arizona as well many nieces and nephews, Claudine Lucero, Joaquin Valdez, Afton Ellis, Joshua Felker, Jonathan Felker, Brittini Carter, Jordan Felker, Monica (Steve) Duran, TX.
David worked at Lockheed Martin Systems Engineering for over 30 years here in the Colorado Springs area. He earned various certification awards in Accelerated Systems Engineering/Systems Integration Foundations, Dedication supporting the Joint National Test Facility as well as various Boeing Recognition Programs.
David most prize hobby loving the Lord and reading the Bible. He enjoyed family and doing anything that brought him into the outside. He had many cherished long-term friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. Rocky Mountain Calvary Church, 4205 N. Academy, CS with a graveside at Florence Union Highland Cemetery.
