David was born in San Diego, California. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the US Navy and served his country for 20 years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. His second career was devoted to civil service with San Diego County in various capacities retiring as support staff from the Sheriff’s Department where he was honored for outstanding achievement.
The mountains were calling to him and he and his wife became residents of Colorado Springs and were in the antiques business.
He loved camping and nature photography and roamed the western states for 20 years. He was an accomplished handyman, refinishing antique furniture, remodeling his homes and landscaping his yards.
