Born in Joliet, IL on February 15, 1966, she was the daughter of Anthony Rudolph Foth and Dorothy (Prody) Foth. She grew up in Elwood, IL and attended Joliet East and Joliet Central High School.
Cynthia was a strong and sophisticated woman all throughout her life. Even in difficult times, she helped others selflessly and never turned away someone in need. She was especially attached to her caring children, close friends, and colleagues. She particularly enjoyed attending concerts with her daughter, and visiting the Ice Hotel in Canada with her family. The outdoors always had a special place in Cynthia’s heart, she will live on vicariously throughout the beaches of Spain, lakes of southern Illinois, and mountains of Colorado.
In high school, Cynthia enjoyed being in the music performance group Kolage. She played tennis all four years of high school, and eventually attended Coe College in lowa where she continued to pursue her passion of tennis while she studied music and science. An adept and passionate learner, Cynthia’s hunger for something new kept her from living a sedentary lifestyle. Shortly after college, she began recruiting for the pharmaceutical industry, and later her interest in fine dining and cuisine led her to be a wine consultant for many well-known restaurants in the city. She loved sharing this knowledge of fine wine and beverages with her friends and family. She quickly exceeded the ranks and managed several restaurants in Chicago.
Cynthia’s charming and caring personality will never be forgotten. All through her life she loved rescuing and caring for dogs. Her beloved Babs, Pepper, and Cedar brought her great joy and live to show how truly anyone could grow to love such a kind woman. Cynthia was a traveler by heart; visiting Spain, Costa Rica, France, and Canada throughout her life and leaving a piece of her along every step.
She loved her children deeply. Some of her happiest moments were spent at their vacation home in Trois Rivieres, Canada. She and her daughter Tessa enjoyed going to concerts to some of her favorite bands such as Delta Rae and Black Pumas. Christmas was by far her favorite holiday, which could always be seen from her elaborately decorated home, inside and out.
In 2016 she and her family moved to Colorado Springs, CO, where she reconnected with old friends and made many new ones. A life-long Bears fan, she spent many Sundays watching her favorite team - win or lose. Cynthia was an avid enjoyer of Cirque du Soleil, and attended many of their performances will her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Blaine & Tessa, her ex-husband and friend, Bob Vorachek.
Preceded in death by her sisters Pauline and Patty; and her parents Dorothy and Anthony.
