Charles “Charlie” Wilson, beloved husband, father, and son passed away on June 20th, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born in Loraine, OH on October 8, 1965 to Leslie and the late, Richard Wilson. Charlie served in the US Army for 8 years. Upon being honorably discharged from the military, Charlie graduated from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in which he received his bachelors degree in Geography. Be came an Educational Assistant for District 11 for several years. Charlie enjoyed many things in his life, but friends and family were extremely important especially his grandchildren. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Leslie Wilson; his devoted wife of 27 years, Di Anna Wilson; loving children Sundie Le Hernandez and her spouse Clifton Mesa; the late Shawna Wilson; Aaron Wilson and his spouse Michelle Wilson; Brandon Wilson and his spouse Arlene Wilson; precious grandchildren Farrah Wilson, Carolynn Wilson, and the late Oliver Wilson; sibling Ida Jean Hall and her spouse DeWayne Hall as well as a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will take place Friday June 28th 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00pm at Swan-Law Funeral home, 501 N Cascade Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday June 29th, 2019 at 11:00am at Swan-Law Chapel (same location) with a reception to follow. The family is encouraging attendees to wear yellow, Cleveland Browns, or Cleveland Indians as they were his favorite. Private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs at a later date.
