Cathy Sue Toft

Cathy was born in La Junta, Colorado where she lived until she graduated high school in 1969. From there Cathy moved to Denver where she earned her Cosmetology degree. After briefly living in Texas, Cathy moved to Colorado Springs where she continued her sales position with several car dealerships. Cathy met the love of her life, Don Toft, in 1978 at a Family Reunion. During the course of their 24-year marriage, Don and Cathy worked hard and made lifelong friends. Cathy loved bringing people together and was a consummate entertainer at their home in Colorado Springs. Over the course of many years, Cathy and Don enjoyed dancing together and Cathy especially shined in the Blue Shimmy dress that Don’s father purchased for her.

In her later years, Cathy took up Needlepoint and made many special tablecloths and special gifts for friends. She started working at Farmers Insurance in 2015 and retired from there just a few short months ago. Cathy is survived by her husband Don, sister and brother-in-law Marsha and Jim Ross; her brother Mike; and niece and nephew Ann and Jeff Ross.

Services for Cathy will be held on Tuesday, June 4, at 11:00a.m. at Church on the Ranch, located at 3685 Jeannine Drive, in Colorado Springs. Following the service, Cathy will go to her final resting place at Pikes Peak National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, Don asks that you buy yourself a nice dinner and celebrate Cathy.
