Carolyn Diane Held

Carolyn, better known as Diane Held, 66, of Ellicott, Colorado, passed away on February 28th, 2021. Diane was born in Longview, Washington, on July 25th, 1954 to Norman Steyer, and Betty Jane Steyer (Waite). Diane was a graduate of Kelso High School, and later went on to receive a degree in Early Childcare from Edmonds Community College in Lynwood, Washington. She married George Held on June 8th, 1974, enjoying a memorable and loving 46 years of marriage.Diane fulfilled a career in Childcare, working with Westminster Child Care, and Hope Montessori. Remembered for her many passions, Diane enjoyed sewing, knitting, and all things crafts.

Alongside her husband, she is survived by two children; Rachel Felice-Esser (Jason Esser), and Shawn Held (Eden Baxter). Diane leaves behind 8 Grandchildren; Trevor & Haley Esser, and Emma, Jaxen, Lincoln, and Lilli Felice, as well as Vince Sayre. “She is also survived by her sibling Karen (Peter Schultz), and nephew Earl "Bob" Beaman, and niece Mary Lambert”

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 5th, at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado at 2PM. In lieu of flowers or gifts, we would appreciate any donation to the Held Family Scholarship Endowment at Northwest University.
