Arla Lea Wilmore

Arla Lea Wilmore, age 68, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Arla was born in Wichita, Kansas. She was survived by her husband of 48 years Ben, Her brother Kevin (Julie) Breshears, her daughter Kimaree (Rick) Cote, son Benjamin (Angel) Wilmore. Arlas grandchildren; Brittney (Carl) Mayou, Richard Cote, Joseph Stubbs, Nicholas (Tatyana) Cote, Tyler Wilmore, Ben Wilmore, Noah Wilmore, Damien Wilmore, Kallea Cote. Arla also had 2 1/2 Great Grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents Robert Breshears and Louise Pitzl, her Brother Leon Breshears, her sister Nona Balderson, a daughter Tracey Wilmore, an grandchild Brandon.

In her younger years she met and fell in love with a long haired gentle giant and enjoyed riding on the back of his motorcycle. She had and cherished 3 children whom she gave her complete and unconditional love to every single day. In her later adult life she moved to her forever home on a little farm in Falcon CO where she raised her children, lots of farm animals and even cared for a few rescued miniature donkeys. She loved "her Mountains" and said time and time again she loved living in "Gods Country". She collected Frogs and loved all kinds of music but her favorites were Buddy Holly and Alabama. Arla's last 2 years were a difficult journey as she was diagnosed with early on set Alzheimer's and as she faced slowing losing her ability to find the words to express her feelings, wants, and needs. But it never took away from her kindness or compassion for others. As words and names started to escape her she never lost the word of "LOVE". She never stopped hugging people and expressing love to everyone she made eye contact with. She faced her journey in later life like she faced most battles in her life, with a smile and kindness that was contagious.
