SSG. Anthony F Faria, age 89, was born on September 29, 1928 in Tiverton, Rhode Island to Gabriel and Mary(Moitozo) Faria. He passed away peacefully, early February 1, 2018 at St. Francis Medical Center. By his side was his wife, Brigitte, with whom he spent 31 joyful years.
He retired from the military after proudly serving 22 years, including time spent in the Vietnam War. He then went on to retire from El Paso County as a heavy equipment operator. A devout catholic, he attended mass regularly at Holy Apostles Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Brigitte Trevino-Faria; son, Bernard K.P. Faria and his wife, Julie Faria. One grandson, Ian Faria; step-daughter, Vira Rhyne; two step-grandchildren, Justin Gibson and Jessica Rhyne; 3 great-grandchildren and his favorite dog, “Ace”. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude; 5 brothers, Gabriel, Manuel, Daniel, Frank, John and 2 sisters, Mary Thiel and Elizabeth Curry.
