Alice Josephine Heedt

Alice was born on October 21, 1963 in Fort Bragg, NC where her father, SGM Fred Heedt served in the U. S. Army.

Alice graduated from Bennett Hill Academy in 1982, and soon after moved to Southern California, where she lived for twenty years.

In 2007 Alice returned to Colorado Springs to help her sister Cathy, who was battling with cancer, only to begin her own struggles with her health. After years of suffering Alice died peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Through it all she never lost her contagious laugh.

She is survived by her mother, Geraldine Heedt, sisters Judy Diehl and Mary Robbins, brothers, Fred, Mike and Dennis Heedt: as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces.

She is preceded in death by her father Fred Heedt Sr. and her sister, Cathy Wallace.

Alice was an inspiration to her family and friends and will be remembered for her courage and sense of humor.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a rosary at 5:30 pm at Swan Lawn Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80903.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsettia Dr., Colorado Springs, CO, 80907, with reception to follow.
