Shirley Lynn Stafford

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and treasured friend to many, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Shirley was a very active participant in her family’s life by volunteering with the Girls Scouts of America and coaching softball. She served as a volunteer for many organizations including President, Secretary and Treasurer for over 10 years for the NCO wives club and served many years as the Director of The Mitchell County Community Mission. She retired from Mitchell County as the Veterans Service Officer. Her love for family and friends was unwavering and she will be deeply missed.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Bob Guinn Stafford, her parents Minnie Ragsdale Reeves and Floyd Reeves, and two brothers L.D. Reeves and Bill Pete Reeves.

She is survived by her brother Leroy Reeves, her sister Joan Thompson. Her children, one son Robert L. Lindsay, 4 daughters, Cathy Baker and husband Jeff, Lori Daniels and husband James, Kari Stafford, Becky Rich and husband Kenneth. 11 grandchildren, Bianca Wipf, Reannon Moreland, Jeremy Daniels, Jesse Rios, Jr. , Randy Byington, Christina Wilson, Kimberly Mann, Krysta Roberts, Leesa Jarka, Ted Rich and Matt Rich. Shirley was also blessed with 12 great grandchildren.

Shirley will be laid to rest with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery.
