Colorado City – Mr. Paul Wright, age 87, of Lubbock and formerly of Colorado City, died Thursday morning in a Lubbock care facility. Graveside services will be at 3 PM Saturday, November 20, 2010, in the Colorado City Cemetery with Wayne Proffitt officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Wright was born July 7, 1923 to Henry and Myrtle Dunn Wright. He married Joyce Motley on September 21, 1950 in Ackerly, TX. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2002. He was a longtime employee of Texas Electric in Colorado City, a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Colorado City where he was a deacon and a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by a daughter, Paula and husband, Wayne Proffitt of Dimmitt, TX; 2 sons: Randy and wife, Sherry Wright and Kerry and wife Samantha Wright, all of Lubbock, TX; 8 grandchildren: Timothy Proffitt, Daniel Proffitt, Alexis Sorenson, Katy Lively, Kristy Barnett, Kevin Wright, Michaela Wright and Ethan Wright and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 11 AM until 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
