She was born to Bemis and Mary Hannah Daskam in Mission, Texas on July 27, 1946.
Janet was a family lady, she was a great wife, mother and grandmother who took every opportunity she could to be with family. Her son and grandchildren fondly remember the trips shopping (especially to Walmart) and all the home-cooked meals, as she enjoyed cooking, baking, and barbecuing. Of all her meals she was the most famous for her chicken and dumplings. In her spare time when she wasn’t spoiling her grandchildren she loved bringing forth her artistic side through drawing, coloring, painting, and making quilts. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
Janet is survived by her son Jason Free Sr and wife Elsa of Colorado City, by grandchildren Amanda Gonzales and husband Eric of Colorado City, Kailyn Free and boyfriend Jose Espinoza of Colorado City, Jason Free Jr. and girlfriend Lindsay Monreal of Jarrell, Aaron Free of Colorado City, and Wesley Free of Colorado City.
