Mark A. DeTora

Mark was the beloved best friend and long-term companion to Judy Morris, dear brother to the late Bill DeTora (Donna), Tim DeTora (Kathy) and the late Greg DeTora, and cherished and loving Godfather to Jillian Kelley (Dennis). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mark graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University and worked over 20 years as Editor-and-Chief at Homes and Living Magazine. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe, fishing, spending time at the beach, and was a huge fan of various styles of music. He has been known to sing with his brother, Bill. Mark enjoyed movies, and spending time with family, especially over a good meal.

An avid reader, Mark especially loved the works of Charles Dickens who once said, “ a loving heart is the truest wisdom” and this couldn’t describe Mark more perfectly. He will forever be known as a gentleman who truly made an impact on everyone he met. He believed there is always a reason to smile.

His relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at Blake Doyle Funeral Home in Collingswood on Thursday, November 9th, from 10-11, with a service immediately following and a private interment.

Mark always had a strong compassion for animals, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice in Mark’s name.
