I would be very keen to know if John and his family were originally from Kingston upon Thames Surrey UK, and if he attended Ewell Castle school also in Surrey. If so he was such a wonderful best friend and I would love to share some memories.

Thinking of our friend Jon today.  I was lucky enough to work with Jon for 25 years.   We shared a love for cooking and would talk about preparing meals for our families.   I miss his quick wit and sense of humor.

I am grateful for the times together with Jon.  Kind and knowledgeable, quietly humorous.  These are words that fit Jon.

I am truly saddened by Jon's tragic death. While we were colleagues for 22 years at O&N, we went through alot of life together. I came to O&N from a career in the food business, so Jon and I immediately bonded over fine cuisine, mostly the making of it. We shared our latest creations, discussed the art and craft, and the delight food brings to us. The last time I saw him, he was showing me pictures of the latest meal he had made. His wit was biting, his intelligence and perception deep, and his humanity, in the end, came through with great grace. He had such a presence, and there is an emptiness now. My heart breaks for you, Joann. I hope you find solace in the freinds and family surrounding you. 

Thank you so much for being such a kind soul to a woman you did not know after a horrible mother's day. I will always remember how kind you and Joanne where. I know how happy you made her and how highly she spoke of you. I am deaply saddened to see such a beautiful soul leave before their time. My Love and Prayers are with you Joanne as you travel these uncharted waters, he will always be there in all the beauty he brought to you. All my Love.

I’m so grateful I had the pleasure to know Jon. My husband & I enjoyed some wonderful dinners with Jon & Joann over the past few years. Jon was so sweet & funny & always had wonderful stories to share. You will be greatly missed, friend.

Joann, we are here for you whenever you need us.

Jon was a “fine bouche” and loved food. WIth Joann he came to each of my 100? Cooking classes! Perhaps to learn but mostly to socialize around foodies.  I remember sometimes we had idiots participating and Jon was laughing, making faces and commenting discretely to Joann and I. I will keep these pictures of his face in my head forever.  

Jon was a blessing his calm peaceful presence I am honored to have known him.   He inspired my meditation practice 🙏🏼

All of us at O&N are heartbroken from the loss of our dear colleague and friend, Jon. Jon was such an integral part of our firm’s success for the last 25 years and the thought of moving forward without his immeasurable talent and steadfast leadership skill is daunting to say the least. To say he will be missed is such an understatement. To Joann, we offer our deepest and heartfelt condolences and reassurance that we are here to lend a hand in any way that we can be helpful during this incredibly difficult time. Our hearts ache for you and we will keep you and Jon’s siblings, nieces & nephews in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you all!

I will pray for both of you

I am shocked and saddened by the loss of Jon.  We worked together for over 7 years and I looked forward to our daily chats that ranged from stories about the delicious food he and Joann enjoyed over the weekend, new mindfulness books he was reading and, of course, rants about the ridiculous Revit requests he was masterfully managing.  He was humorous, even when he wasn't meaning to be, and such an integral part of that wonderful company.  I am grateful for our friendship and all the conversations we shared.  Sending love and prayers to Joann and all Jon's family and friends.  He will be truly missed.

Our hearts are broken at the loss of our co-worker Jon.  I worked with Jon for 25 years and will miss his kindness and his sense of humor.   Sending my condolences to Joann and the family - rest assured you are in my prayers.

For the past few years, five friends have spent Thursday nights doing what they love. Playing music together. It will never be the same. To JoAnne, thanks for letting Jon come out to play. Our hearts ache for you. He was our musical brother. We will see him again one day.
