Michele H. McWilliams, 64, passed away in Collierville, TN on Thursday, July 2, 2020 after battling a long illness. Michele will be remembered as a strong, courageous fighter who was deeply loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. She is survived by a loving husband of 42 years, Kevin, their three children, Molly McDermott, Dr. Kelly McWilliams (William) and Conor McWilliams, their two granddaughters Kaitlyn and Erin, and her brother Donald Holtzer.
Michele was raised in both Maryland and North Carolina by her parents Donald and Marilou Holtzer. She attended Villanova University and graduated with a B.S. in Finance. Michele began her career at a computer firm specializing in banking, before eventually dedicating her energy full time to raising her children. Michele was active in several organizations throughout her life, including being a very proud member of the D.A.R.
Beyond the love Michele gave to her family and friends, she was extremely devoted to dogs and raised several Golden Retrievers. Spending time with the family dogs gave her peace and strength during a long battle. We would like to honor her memory by giving back to the animals that brought her comfort in her time of need. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, we ask you to please make donations to the A.S.P.C.A. or a local golden retriever rescue organization.
The viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Collierville Funeral Home. The Mass will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the church of the Incarnation in Collierville at 10:30 am.
Due to concerns regarding COVID-19 all individuals must wear masks and practice social distancing. Additionally, for out of town guests there will be the opportunity to attend services remotely, details to be provided.
